Moxie's Gifts, Candy and Party Room is a family owned and operated business.  We opened in Clintonville, just north of The Ohio State University, in July of 2010.

Many have asked if our name comes from the word moxie-meaning "spunky" or "courage combined with inventiveness".  Because we opened our store in the midst of the Great Recession, using the word moxie in our name is very appropriate.  At Moxie's, we have moxie! 

Our name is really a tribute to the town of Moxahala, Ohio.  Moxahala, or as the locals call it "Moxie", is a small southern Ohio town.  The town's population was once heavily tied to coal mining and the Kiener Family operated the town store.  We are proud to be members of the Kiener family-keeping family tradition alive.  
 
Moxie's Gifts, Candy and Party Room is currently located at 3339 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43202.  We are on the west side of High Street,  one and a half blocks south of North Broadway Street, between Brighton Road and Longview Aveune.  On-street parking is available.  We are accessible by COTA bus. 

In June 2013, Moxie's Gifts, Candy and Party Room will move to 3468 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214.  Our new location is on the east side of High Street between North Broadway and Oakland Park Ave.  We have a 14 space private parking lot at this new location.  To access the lot, turn east on Oakland Park Ave and take an immediate right turn into the alley.  If our lot is full, please park at the Columbus Mennonite Church or at the North Broadway Methodist Church overflow lot.  Both of these lots can be accessed from the alley.
