The Fiestaware Bridal Shower
Since 1936, Brides have been falling in love with Fiesta dishware. Its bright solid colored design works into every lifestyle! If your Bride is looking to include this timeless dishware line in her life, consider hosting a Fiestaware themed Bridal Shower at Moxie’s in Clintonville.
All inclusive options:
Bring your Bride to Moxie’s. Take a look at our Soiree Room. Is it the right spot for your party? If so, book your date!
While you are at Moxie’s, the Bride can complete her Fiestaware Bridal Registry. Should your guests choose to purchase their Fiestaware gifts at Moxie’s, not only will the Bride recieve quality Fiesta items, she will receive a Moxie’s store credit equal to 10% of their combined pre-tax purchases! She can use that credit to fill gaps in her Fiestaware collection post party! We will provide you with a copy of the Fiestaware Bridal Registry before
you leave. You will be able to conveniently pass that information on to your guests.
If you like, we can take care of the party invitations. Simply email or drop in the store and provide us a list of those you wish to invite. We will need your list four to six weeks in advance of your party date. We will not use this list for any other purpose than the creation and mailing of the party invitation materials. Each guest will receive a party
invitation, your bride's Fiestaware Bridal Registry, driving and parking directions and RSVP instructions (If you would like, we can handle that too!). We will also enclose information letting guests know that they can order Fiestaware from Moxie’s by phone or email and that any gift purchased at Moxie's can be wrapped and ready at the party.
The day of the party, we will outfit our Soiree Room with enough tables and chairs to accommodate your guests.
The tables will be skirted with white table cloths. Should you choose, we can set each place with heavy duty plastic silverware and a colorful napkin.
At your option, we can create a food buffet featuring Fiesta colored food items. If you choose this options, we will arrange for a beautiful assortment of vegetables (carrots, yellow and orange peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatos, and asparagus/green string bean) with two dips (lemon thyme and red pepper). We will couple that with a large bowl of seasonal berries. For your entree, a platter of seasoned grilled chicken-served cold- and a huge bowl of mixed greens. Side dishes containing garlic croutons, parmesan cheese and Ceasar dressing will be on hand. In addition, a large tub of ice with mini bottles of water will be available.
Now the gifts. If we did the invitations, we will provide the Hostess with a pre-printed gift list. That list will have the names and addresses of all the invited guests. For guests that have purchased their gifts at Moxie’s, the list will
reflect a description of that guest’s gift. For the others, a blank box will be provided for the Hostess to record a description of the gift.
At your option, as the guests are leaving, they can help themselves to a brightly colored candy counter. Moxie’s will provide small take out containers. Guests will fill these containers with a combination of laffy taffy, tootsie rolls, bullseyes, pixie sticks, Zots and bubble gum. The container will have a colorful thank you tag attached.
You may purchase any or all elements of this party. Only want the candy counter, that is fine, we can have it ready. Want to add a game? We have lots of ideas-contact us. And, you are welcome to bring outside food and beverage to our Soiree Room.
French Themed Bridal Shower
We will create invitations using a medium weight card stock featuring a color of your choice. This invitation will be mailed to your guests and will include driving/parking directions as well as registry information. We will use a number 10 size moderate weight white envelope. We will seal the invitaiton with a decorative seal. The combination should be distinctive and lovely. We can modify this design based on discussions.
We will set the room with four foot round tables. Each table will be dressed in white table cloth. On the back of each chair will be a garland made of purple ribbon and alphabet letters. The alphabet letters will spell out French love phases: Je t’aime, Je t’adore, Amour, etc… Napkins and silverware will be at each place setting. The napkin we have chosen is Bodrum by PPD. It is a beautiful purple and lavender print.
The center of each table will host three candy jars. One jar will hold candy coated almonds, another will hold chocolate gold wrapped coins (we chose these candies because they are tradition in French wedding culture-we can provide other choices), and the third will have bags with ribbons and Eiffel Tower thank you tags. To complete the centerpiece look, two small easels each hosting small canvas with an image of the Eiffel Tower. Post party, guests will package almonds and coins to take home.
The food tables (there will be two five foot tables) will be dressed in black. In the center will be a Croquembouche (a large pyramid of creampuffs glazed with caramel and spun sugar). To the right of the Croquembouche will be a large bowl of berries and a large tub of ice. Champagne (to be provided by the hostess if desired), Perrier and Orangina will be featured in the tub of ice. Striped straws will be on hand for guests to use when drinking the non-alcoholic beverages. Champagne glasses will be at the ready. To the left of the Croquembouche will be a large bowl of mixed greens, a platter of diced grilled chicken breasts, a large bowl of pasta salad, a basket of rolls, a bowl of parmesan cheese, a bowl of croutons, fresh butter and bottles of Caesar dressing. Above the food tables will be a ribbon garland with letters spelling out the bride’s name. Square plates will be on hand in two sizes-dessert and dinner.
A French custom is to toast the Bride (couple). As they arrive, each guest would be given a card. They will use this card to record advice or well wishes for the bride. We would stage a vase to collect these cards. While the gifts are being opened, one of the bride’s maids will create a bouquet of the ribbons and bows. These toast cards can be added to this bouquet or, at the end of the party, they can be tied together in a book and given to the bride.
If the Groom is available, it would be appropriate for the hostess to arrange to have him stop in with a bouquet of flowers (or with the gift of the garter) immediately prior to gift opening. The gesture should be a surprise for
the bride and is a lovely tradition.
A popular activity is Bridal Bingo. The French version would be Le Loto. We would prepare and print the lotto cards. Guests will complete the blank boxes using the names of gifts they think the bride will receive. As the gifts are opened, the guests will check off their correct guesses. The first guest to complete a horizontal row-wins a prize. The
first guest to complete their card, wins a prize.
